I like how you said not to try a bunch of creams and treatments they sell in stores that are full of chemicals that are harming your skin and you don't know it, something the world just doesn't understand

1. eat healthy fats that contain omega 6 fatty acids; helps your skin to hydrate and glow (coconut oil, avocadoes, fish, nuts like almonds, cashews, peanuts)
2. less is more; use fewer products, stick to the products you have, be consistent with skincare
3. wait it out; if you get pimples, don’t pop it and try to not wear makeup on it
4. wash your sheets once every week or two weeks;
5. something’s missing; you’re not getting enough of vitamins or some sort of nutrient
6. avoid acne products; don’t use products aimed for acne prone skin, they contain harsh chemicals and strip your skin of its natural oils. see a dermatologist instead of trying all those acne products
7. makeup detox; try to not wear makeup to let your pores breathe
8. own your skin

March 2nd, 2020 at 1:34 pm
Ppl tell me I have rlly nice skin and not a single pimple well I think it’s because I drink water I use natural simple and less products but overall I think it’s because my mother didn’t have acne so it could be genetics then again ppl tell me I look a lot like my mom so there’s that but my biggest tip is drink water and use natural products like really I used to never drink water and now I do my skin is much more glowing than usual it encourages me to drink more

I've had pretty bad cystic acne for years. I've always eaten pretty healthy but my mental health has always been really bad. I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder, depression, chronic stress and low self esteem when I was only 7. Over the last four months, I've tried to make the most of my ups and used those periods to make lifestyle changes (I find motivation really difficult in my lows). My acne is now just snall dark spots which are gradualky fading and about two painless pimples on the worst days. However, the main thing I got out of this is the massive increase in my mental health. I've not had a proper stress related breakdown in about two months and my depression feels like nothing. I feel amazing and feel like I'm finally making the most of my life. There was a long period where I had forgotten what it was like to be happy and now I'm happy most of the time. I'm so glad I managed to use the motivation as, now that I'm happier, I have even more. I eat extremely clean (mostly raw plants such as beans, legumes, nuts and vegetables etc. ) and only eat processed food on very special occasions such as Christmas and family meetup at restaurants for birthdays though I will still choose the healthiest option on the menu. I also never use makeup on my skin and will only sometimes fill in my brows and curl my lashes. I really encourage you all to focus on your mental health as it has so many benefits like general happiness, healthy relationships, weight loss, beautiful skin etc. Just remember that you are beautiful. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Try looking in the mirror and just smiling at yourself, appreciating all the beauty (inside and out) that you have.

Great video! Does this skincare routine change throughout the year? What about for someone with more vata in their skin? Does ayurveda avoid exfoliation? Thanks!

So by the time she's done with all that it's time for bed and it all has to come off–I'm sure with another lengthy ( as we are advised that that one should be even longer) and unrealistic bedtime skin care routine…come on guys..
