In this video, which is the second part of a three-part healthy skin series, I will talk about specific lifestyle tips for healthy skin. These are tips I follow personally and they are all science-backed as well.
I hope these tips help you achieve clearer, glowing and more radiant skin. If you have any major skin issues though such as eczema, psoriasis, etc. it is always a good idea with work with both a dermatologist and an integrative medicine practitioner to get to the root of the issue.
The tips in this video are geared towards reducing acne, breakouts and skin redness as well as reducing the signs of premature aging. I also talk about sun damage and the importance of wearing sunscreen.

Even people who don’t wear sunscreen can have low vitamin D. So it’s a good idea anyway to get levels tested by a doctor. See study below. I was vitamin D deficient despite not wearing sunscreen for years.

As usual, Ria all the information was top notch, and I should know since I myself often read research. Sunscreen though is not so very healthy to use according to what I read because it contains chemicals that can damage more than help…So best is, as you said to avoid the sun between 11 – 15 and also avoid direct sun the rest of the day. You can after a while get a nice suntann and a fresh colour even if you sit in the shade.

I found out the hard way in Spain how badly I need to use sunscreen every day. But all the sunscreens (even the chemical-free ones) make me break out. Any suggestions for natural sunscreen that’s not too oily would be greatly welcomed!

Do you have any tips to stop craving sugar at the end of lunch or diner and how to replace it? I think this is one of the biggest thing that make me breakout but it's so hard to stop! 🙂
